If an urn is going to be buried in a cemetery grave, many cemeteries require either an impermeable urn or that the urn be placed into a protective outer enclosure, usually known as an urn vault. There are some urns, however, that are made from a material durable enough that they can serve as both, eliminating the need for two containers. The following urns and urn vaults are constructed of composite materials that will meet or exceed most cemetery requirements. Browse our other pages though, as some cemeteries will allow urns made from bronze, marble, or onyx as they are impenetrable from the elements. If you're interested in burying a biodegradable urn somewhere other than a cemetery (most cemeteries will not allow this), we also have many styles of those available. We also have urns designed for scattering ashes. Many of our urns are suitable for the ashes of a pet.
